A letter to a mother.  A daughter's premonition. A third round of chemotherapy.  A journey across the ocean.  A laughing child...Moments that blur the line between fantasy and memory, yet still define our every thought and action.

 

Created in collaboration with performer, Aoi Koenig and video artist, Danny Beard, Reality Inherited is a biographical, durational, multi-media instillation performance that explores the ways that memories evolve, the tendency for fantasies to become realities, and the residual matrilineal pain that is passed from generation to generation.
