FISH SING | PEZ CANTA

An evening-length dance performance animating underwater worlds and the sensorial life of water, marine animals, and plants. Performed by Denison Dance Company, the work draws inspiration in the natural world to encourage respect, cooperation, relationality and guardianship of the currents, rhythms, family life, in the deep ocean. Created in collaboration by Denison University dance faculty: Marion Ramirez, Mollie Wolf & Ojeya Cruz Banks along with guest aerial artist, Danya Contractor and creative input from the dancers. Fish Sing/Pez Canta features the music compositions of Matthew Peyton Dixon and dakota camacho, along with mesmerizing Chinese pipa played by student-dancer-musician Shujun Liu.
